Visual Aids Services

Visual Aids Services Incorporated (VASI) is a company started by Seward E. Ford for the purpose of providing consultancy, training and information services to the airport lighting industry. (Seward has been in the airport lighting industry for nearly 40 years. He has served in industry manufacturing positions ranging from engineering to marketing.) In addition to consulting and training services we also assist in the development of standards relating to airport visual aids.

We provide this site primarily as a service to the airport lighting industry. Our aim is to encourage the exchange of ideas and the sharing of expertise and experience. We believe these activities, together with the timely supply of pertinent information, will help raise the level of competence in the design of airport lighting systems and, in the longer term, provide a safer environment for air travellers.
